Your Manali chapter

Come for the view.
Stay for the feeling.

Deodar woods, timber temples and broad mountain views give Manali more than one rhythm. Balance a valley excursion with time in village lanes, a warm Himachali meal and a slower forest morning.

A pagoda-style temple of timber and stone stands among tall deodars. Its forest setting and distinctive architecture make it a rewarding first stop close to town.

A better holiday.

Choose the right season, a convenient base and a comfortable pace. Our team can help shape the stay around you.

When to visit

Match the trip to the landscape you want to explore. Summer suits town and valley sightseeing; winter needs warmer layers and flexible roads. Snowfall, snow activities and access to higher routes are never guaranteed.

Getting there & getting around

Bhuntar is the nearby airport; Chandigarh is another gateway followed by a longer road journey. Manali is approached by road, so compare current services and leave a buffer for weather, traffic and mountain-road delays.

Choosing your base

Stay near central Manali for town conveniences, Old Manali for village lanes and cafés, or Vashisht for a different hillside setting. Check gradients and vehicle access if step-free arrival matters to your group.

Higher routes are optional

Rohtang is a separate, permit-controlled excursion. Check the official permit portal and current road orders before adding it; a permit does not guarantee that weather will allow access.

Keep the itinerary flexible

Mountain roads and outdoor activities can close because of rain, snowfall or other conditions. Leave a buffer around onward travel and retain a lower-altitude town day as an alternative.

Choose an appropriate activity

Confirm the operator’s authorisation, equipment and participation requirements. Age, health, weight and weather restrictions vary; adventure activities should be selected for the individual traveller.
